S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat, would have you walk into the minefield in that game very slowly, paying attention to the state of the ground so that you don’t set the mines off, then demonstrates why you didn’t do so once you get your objective inside said minefield.

TL;DR, very slowly and with great care, for good reason.

To use the expression correctly, this is the “the exception that proves the rule”.

The exception is “Eastwood wears unders to cover his junk” for once, therfore the rule must be that Eastwood has been something something something his wood in our faces.
