I would recommend not discontinuing it. *coughs up a hairball* I’ve found the art style and story to be both compellingly humorous and interesting. I would recommend not discontinuing it.

Nevertheless, this comic is awesome; whether this is the final end, or at some point you think up a story that you feel like continuing the comic with, I'll be checking back occasionally; maybe reread the archives a bit. Kudos on your work. If it’s being a chore, then definitely take a hiatus.

For all intentions and the long-view you've been working a good long time on quality Grade "A" work. Thank you for a good 12 years of smiles. I'm excited about your next works to come. So whats our bet on "smooth fox" getting into a (limited & doomed) relationship with the heretic-burner? Congratulations. Me and my lady have been fans since I first found this comic. We laughed, we cried(from laughing), and we told our friends. Thanks for finishing this. Guys, it’s been an absolute blast. I've been following this comic since shortly after it started, back when it was still hosted on Keenspace/ComicGenesis, and it's been a fun ride reading the whole thing: The art and writing have done nothing but improve over the years, and I couldn't help but sense a strive and effort to always aim to do better than before. EN now is basically an overall higher quality product compared to what was put out ten years ago. It's nice when something you enjoy matures and grows with you. But nothing lasts forever and sooner or later life has a way of catching up to you, and we all eventually move on. Twelve years is a long time, and I'd say that's more than satisfactory. Thanks for dedicating years of your free time to this, guys; I look forward to seeing the conclusion of this arc. I kinda had a hunch this would be the final story arc (at least for the time being). Glad that you are wrapping up the storyline and having a few strips to help close things out instead of a sudden stop in the middle of the arc as was far too often the case with many webcomics. Twelve years of laughs, brain bleach moments, and wrecked toasters helped me get through my late elementary school years all the way to adulthood. I wish you the best of luck Virus once this is all wrapped up. As is often the case with things I’ve enjoyed over the years they eventually come to an end. I have found it utterly hilarious, often ridiculous, and sometimes touching and poignant as well. It has provided much entertainment already, and I'm not even done with it yet! If you're working three years behind, especially with stories, it gets super boring. Especially with an Auteur comic where there is only one artist doing everything. Sometimes you have to jump the shark or abandon universe building in favor of getting things done so you can move to the next "tent pole" as it were. I cannot say if that is what happened to wapsi square or not, but as an artist on hiatus for reasons I won't disclose until I can figure out the magic trick or secret to becoming "stupid rich," it will have to suffice. Plus, if nobody is teaching you technique or anything, and the entire purpose of what you're doing is skill building so you can create something expert fabulous, no matter how well intentioned your motives, if you don't have the skills to pull it off it is an embarrassment for both you and the reader. I feel the best jokes are played completely strait, and if you can get the reader to play in the sandbox of world creation with you you've done a good job. I really like the idea of a kaleidoscope where moving shifting one or a handful of elements makes the illusion completely different. Unfortunately, my tendency towards noir and melodrama overpowered anything that added sweetness and light humor. So, I figured if no one enjoyed what I was producing except for me and a few dozen of what I assume are very understanding and patient individuals that I appreciate for their tolerance, support, encouragement, kindness, and trust. I could do worse than spending a few years working on my storytelling abilities. I'm still a bit out of step with modern trends I guess, but based on a recent survey of stuff children are donating to charities I've determined that they like dolls and action figures, scopes (binoculars, kaleidoscopes, and otherwise), ponies and stuffed animals, combs, mirrors, and what I believe are psychological tests for chimpanzees and children under the age of two. Surely, if Incorporated these elements with stuffed animals, as I come up with a spy drama not unlike like Darkwing Duck crossed with sonic the hedgehog, while focusing on elements of an MMORPG or card game, and figure out how to incorporate religion while I make it nostalgic, whimsical, and exciting I will have the ultimate niche market all my own... Because there will obviously be no competition once EN is out of the picture. And, it will be totally superior because of the mentally advanced series of pony protagonists. (Yes. Obvious silliness is obvious.) That’s tricky too, the universe I mean. If you’re working three years behind, especially with stories, it gets super boring.
