Back to the story in little while.

New battery arrived, everything seems shiny. The dodginess of the power input could still get worse, eventually meaning I’ll need to get it fixed. But it hadn’t cut out in a couple weeks anyway, so it perhaps isn’t that bad. Yet. Anyway, for now, the battery will pick up the slack if the power cuts briefly. Yay uninterruptible power supply. I’ll try to treat this one better than the last one. Discharge it regularly, and whotnot. Left the old one plugged in most of the time, likely contributing to its demise.
