#176 – Do I Look Like The Godsdamn Batman?

December 29th, 2006 | by Lothar

Dear Namco

Why the fuck does Ace Combat: The Belkan War suck so much in comparison to your previous effort, Squadron Leader (PAL)/Unsung War(NTSC)? (No I don’t know why they changed the name either.)

I think because it is mainly a prequal to said game yet only VAGUELY connects to the story in Squadron Leader, the only thing really connecting it being the fact that seven nukes are set off by the Belkans. Could it also be the fact there is pretty much fuck all in variety in the missions in comparison as well? Or how about that your SINGLE wingman is a complete and utter tosser in comparison to the likeable, if somewhat overly-dramatic, four man squad from the previous game?

Look you already screwed up Starfox, don’t bugger up one of your own franchises as well.

Lothar

Eh screw the rant.

Too busy at work, too tired, and a nutter just sent me a fun little email which quite honestly just made me not give a flying fuck.

“nba_balla9999@hotmail.com

all i want from you 4 christmas is you shot up, decapitated, dismembered
andfucked up by a russian lady…..bitch”

“shades_of_grey_and_flames@yahoo.com

You suck, your comic sucks, and i hope you all fall off a cliff and land on sharp pionty rocks and die”

Ah Christmas, the time for retarded lizards to use incorrect spelling, grammar and punctuation in order to…I dunno give everyone in the world a free haircut? Shit anything’s possible. I mean I got fucking engaged this year so that must prove my theory that the planet Mars is actually a giant raisin that will explode into a plethora of rainbows and gerbils and turn all of humanity in giant robots with fucking crab claws on their heads…or something.

Also I love the fact he still think it’s the 1960’s and the cold war is still raging which means being Russian is BAD…damn Commies with their…Commieness. Yeah. Still I suppose when you’ve got no chance of every being able to add 35 and 56 even with the aid of a calculator (it’s 91 btw) , you send random people emails like this. I’m guessing pissed them off sometime this year, which I don’t remember because frankly if I did I might as well try and remember what my past life was.

I hope I was a cowboy and got to ride a pretty pony. Not a horse, a PONY.

Oh well no time to play Phoenix Wright… or Ace Combat: The Belkan War…or F.E.A.R…or Destroy All Humans 2…shit I have a lot of games I haven’t completed yet.

#175 – The Bigger They Are, The Harder They… Never Mind

December 22nd, 2006 | by Virus

Very much doubt there’ll be any sort of Annual Gift Day update. I have work to do, and Zelda dungeons to crawl. And no inspiration besides. So unless some sort of Ecks-mas miracle occurs, I’ll just see you next Friday with a regular comic. Happy Hogswatch everybody.

#174 – …Was My Internal Monologue Too Loud?

December 15th, 2006 | by Virus

Just as Schaefer can always manage to find a shadow in which to lurk, the magpie assassin never fails to find a breeze where there should be none so that his scarf may billow dramatically.

Got me a Wii last weekend. Twilight Princess is made of winning glory and glorious win.

Virus

So very tired.

You know, I was planning to do a big ol’ rant this week, since I haven’t done on in a while, but then I got called into work to do the Nintendo Wii midnight launch (as it was released in the UK today) and I only got back 30 minutes ago (writing this at 2am) And since I’m trying to get a full time job in the store, I figured this may help towards it.

So to all the Nintendo nerds would wouldn’t wait an extra EIGHT FUCKING HOURS to get their console, I hate you. I hope you all break your televisions.

Me need sleep.

It takes a special kind of talent to remain that shadowy under a spotlight.

Virus

#172 – Eastwood’s Chat Up Lines Always Produce An Electric Atmosphere

December 1st, 2006 | by Lothar

I am a fool.

I bought the Sonic 360 game.

I could tell you how bad it is but honestly I’d just be saying things that have been said before. So instead I’ll tell you that I traded it in towards Rainbow Six: Vegas instead.

Instead I shall tell you about iCeDrAgoN01, a member of the Rooster Teeth website (guys who created Red Versus Blue) who did some rather nice art modifications of the Halo Lothar wallpaper Virus drew a couple of Halloween’s back (2005 I think). Now a fan emailed me about this and I thought “well they’re nice and I’m trying to be a better person, so I’ll ask if he can give due credit.”

I did, and then he said “lol show me proof” or something to that nature, so I linked him to the picture. “DOESN’T WORK LOL”. Sigh. Then linked him to the page the picture was on, and then he just ignored anything I said afterwards. I emailed the admins at the Rooster Teeth website, though I don’t doubt for a minute they have far better things to do. THEN the moron starts moaning that somebody else stole HIS picture on his RT Journal.

So, you know, just throwing that information out there.

#171 – He Doesn’t Fill Out His Tax Returns On Time, Either

November 24th, 2006 | by Virus

Differences in monitors may make this really hard to see. Meh, tough, I’m done messing around with it. Must get some sleep, for tomorrow, rock shall occur.

I sent that Sam and Max wallpaper from a few weeks back to the fine folks at Telltale Games. They’ve asked if they can put it up on their site. So it should hopefully appear on this page some time soon. Dat’s cool.

They also said thanks for the traffic we sent their way when we linked to them. I’m certainly glad to help towards the success of new Sam & Max games, so once again: Sam & Max Season 1, Episode 1, ‘Culture Shock’ is available now, from Telltale Games. And it’s awesome.

Virus

Dun.

Two fans produced great wallpapers using last week’s Trogdor art: Pixellated, and Mysia Ri.
