Guest Art: General Radix
February 26th, 2013 |
Piece of Lothar and Bunnie Rabbot (I have no idea if I’m spelling that right and like fuck am I googling it) from General Radix. Sent over a month ago to the fan art email account we seem to forget exists. Sorry! Still, quite cool action pose with one of the 3,645 (approximately) inspirations for Lothar.
Will hopefully have an update on when Virus will be back to comic duties soon.
I’m not knowledgeable on Bunnie Rabbot (and yes I think you spelt it right) since SatAM (Im a diehard STC fan), but why is her robotic parts painted? :/
Has to do with my own redesign of Bunnie, simply put. Took cues from the Metal series for my renditions of Robians.

About damn time!
Awesome.
Even if you put both of them together they still only have two arms and no legs. Just shows the Inquisition is an equal opportunities employer.
1NT3R3ST1NGLY S1M1L4R BLU3PR1NT. 1 WOND3R HOW TH4T H4PP3N3D. L1K3 1S 1T CO1NC1D3NC3 OR 1S 1T SL1GHTY MOR3 S1N1ST3R…?
If memory serves Lothar lost his limbs to land mines, but I do prefer the idea that there’s some serf in charge of prosthetics who just looks at the body, looks at his “Cybernetics for dummies” handbook, and then just slaps on whatever looks close enough.
My older brother still has his pile of Sonic the Hedgehog comic books, so I can recognize Bunnie. I don’t know much about her, nor did I read most of those books, but still, it’s a nice callback.
On a slightly related note, someone has to save Virus from those Soulthirster cultists so that the comic can resume. No rush or anything, but we should get to it at some point.
I hate to be the one who says this, but…
That. Looks. Awesome.
Seriously- get her on the team!
….
Gunbunny…..
BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bunny already rocks hardcore, but this guy somehow made something good… look good.
So you fellas totally need to bring Bunny into the storyline somehow, because she’s too awesome to leave out forever. Resurrection? Lame. Spiritual haunting? … mmmm, comedic potential but hard to fit into any plot longer than a few pages. Time travel? … honestly seems up your alley. No offense.
Yeah no, she won’t be getting anything here apart from a cameo, if even that.
Dammit.
So mad cultists can summon giant daemons from beyond the Veld, massive vortexes torn from the warp can obliterate furry Australia, daemon-possesed machine rampage across unsuspecting apartments, and the essence of thousands of souls can be stored within a magic bookend. But the resurrection of one person from the dead is too far-fetched.
Noooo, I said it was lame.
Although the zombies and Those Two Guys are pretty cool.
OK I have no fucking clue what you guys are on about. Resurrection of Bunnie? How can we resurrect a character that has NEVER BEEN IN OUR COMIC IN THE FIRST PLACE? And is copyrighted? Seriously, what?
*shrug* Conversations aren’t always sane or reasonable.
Especially Internet conversations.
Cultists, mad scientists, power-hungry daemon lords, and so forth are no match for the power of the Archie Comics lawyers. :P
As far as inspriation for Lothar. In the Necromunda game rulebook, there’s a sidebar story about a hardcore assassin wiping out a large group of people, an his name is Lothar Hex.
Concidence? Or has Lothar been taking freelance jobs in other realities?
More like Lothar’s so awesome that assassins in other realities name themselves after HIM.
The name was taken from an very old Warhammer game book. I have no idea which one. East was the one who suggested the name.
Yeah, he was a throwaway background reference in Necromunda. It’s too cool a name not to borrow. I’m certain Andy Chambers doesn’t mind.
The funny thing is, since I noticed this, every time I reread that section, I picture an angry, cybernetic echidna in a yellow hat slaughtering those people. Given the background of 40K, and the Imperium’s attitude towards mutants and nonhumans, it makes it hilarious. :)
Old pic is old. Bunnie De’Coliete is fully organic now.
Not for long.
Two things. One: awesomest cyborg team-up ever! Two: I’d say back-to-back badasses, but they’re technically back(Lother’s)-to-front(Bunnie’s).
Nice pic. I love bunni. And yes you spelled it right.
