#032 – Denied Again

February 27th, 2004 | by Lothar

Our first running gag. *Sniff* I’m so proud ^^.

Bit of news, you cant really see it in this comic but we’ve made a slight change to Lothar’s design, basically his hands. As you noticed, being based off of Knuckles from the Sonic games, Lothar has the typical “Mitten” style gloves. But as last week’s and indeed this weeks comic show’s he does have fingers. So the glove and bionic hand are being redesigned to include the fingers. This dosent really affect the “normal” hand, that much, but it will affect the look of his bionic one, basically he”l have 2 fingers instead of one solid mass on the bionic hand. This is just a heads up so nobody ask’s us what the hell happened to his hands. I thought about doing a comic to explain it, but really what the hell was I gonna do with that?

Virus: Hey Lothar, you got some new gloves, and a new bionic hand?
Lothar: Yes, yes I did.
Virus: Cool
*Awkward silence*
Lothar: Wanna go set fire to next door’s cat?
Virus: Sure.

See what I mean?

Last Minute Updater

February 20th, 2004 | by Virus

Lothar covered it well, but he hadn’t even seen the finished comic when he wrote that newspost. It wasn’t uploaded to the server until about 23:59 for our midnight update. Lothar was shittin’ bricks XD

And why did I end up being so last minute, and cause the echidna to damn near pull his quills out? Perhaps this, will serve as a valid excuse? That and the other two renders might look pretty nifty now, but we shall see what my digital modeling teacher says when I hand these in for my assignment. I think he’s expecting something a little more detailed and oh, I dunno, photo-frickin’-realistic? -_-; Modeling environments is long, boring, and no fun – I wanna do characters, dammit! Anywho, yeah, that is indeed the EN kitchen, only glimpsed in a handful of images thus far. Gonna render up some comic backgrounds, make my life a little easier in that department. I’ll probly extend the model to cover the adjacent living room too, eventually.

Art-Monkey Virus, over and out.

#031 – Just Got To Find The Right Pitch

February 20th, 2004 | by Lothar

Origionally I had a completely different script written up for this week’s comic, but after looking at that one I decided it was…whats the word?…Oh yeah, SHIT. So I sat down for about 15 minutes and wrote this one out, which in my opinion is a lot funnier. I hope you guys agree.

I just thought in case anyone hadn’t figured it out for themselves I better tell our fans something. All 4 members of the EN Cast and Crew are British, specifically English, and semi-proud of it (beats being Welsh). I am really kinda taken back when I’m talking to our fans and I tell them this and they are genuinely surprised. Weird.

And for my last bit of news, I recently got Xbox Live, the online gaming service for the Xbox Console for those of you who have been living in a nuclear bunker, afraid that you would be eaten by giant radioactive ants if you dared ventured outside. I think it’s bloody great fun, I’ve only got 2 games for it at the moment though. MechAssault and Crimson Skies, both of which are great to play online. I wouldnt mind meeting some Exterminatus Now fans on there, my Gamertag is “Lothar Hex” (obvious I know, but hey it works).

Well that’s all for now, hope you enjoy the comic and I’ll cya next week.

#030 – Holiday: Valentines Day 2004

February 13th, 2004 | by Eastwood

Valentines Day, eh? Amazing how time passes, I can recall first installing Command and Conquer Generals in March of last year, and it only seems like yesterday. Probably because the game was so crap I have waking nightmares about it, every damned day.

So why am I updating? Dunno, why shouldn’t I be? Why should Lothar always hog the spotlight? Probably because he isn’t as lazy as me and tends to actually update. So because of this, and if you live under a rock and somehow missed it, you should give Lothar some belated birthday fanmail. Go on, you know you want to. I’d have sent him something birthday-related, but lacking any finances as I blew the pitiful disposable income I have on Sonic Heroes.

Which, despite my misgivings, is a pretty good game. If you overlook the fact the game has a million ways to die, and Team Sonic and Team Rose have the worst voice acting known to man.
But it has Omega, the most bad-ass droid in the history of the games. So bad-ass is Omega, I wrote a fic about him. I know I can’t write for crap, but take a look. I’m quite happy with how it turned out.

Finally having waded through this crap, you can seek out the amazing Valentines Day wallpaper in 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768. Virus has really outdone himself with this wallpaper, and I sincerely hope it becomes as big a hit with you lot as the Annual Gift Day one was.

And that, as they say friends, is that.

#028 – When Purging Vileness, Be Thorough

January 30th, 2004 | by Lothar

k seriously how can you not lvoe Virus’s expression in Panel 4, it’s impossible!

Couple more bits of fan art added to the Fanart page, both done by Runnic, so go check those out.

Edit, posted Thursday: This Fridays comic may be late, as Virus got bogged down with work and may not have it finished in time. Friday’s comic may not appear until Saturday. Why the hell does this happen when I spent £30 to advertise on Theater Hopper and get new readers? Beacuse of Sod’s law thats why! Anyway hopefully we’ll get the comic up for Friday, but here’s a heads up just in case.

#027 – Clichés Never Fail

January 23rd, 2004 | by Lothar

Another week, another comic. When I was writing this one it took me a while to come up with, but it’s probabaly one of the more obvious jokes I’ve written. Yeah I can come up with stuff like “Tentacle Deamon Reppelant” easily, yet it takes me about 20 minutes to come up with this? Next I’ll be solving complex mathematical equations while trying to figure out how to flush the toilet.

We’ve got two new bit’s of fan art this week. The first is a belated ChristmasFan Comic by Scott Cameron, great work Scott! (I am now debating turning that into a Back To The Future “GREAT SCOTT!” pun….I think I’ll leave it).

Our second bit of fan art comes courtesy of one Tara Jenkin’s, one of the Fallout Shelter’s admins. Click the link to see LIVE NAKED VIRUS AND LOTHAR! *Chika wow, chika wow wow chika wow*

I swear this is the last link. Sonic X premiered in the UK this week, I wrote up my thought in an article about the first epsiode click here to read it. Warning, lot’s of swearing, sarcasm and anger.
