#409 – Accepted Nomenclature
May 13th, 2012 |
Details in this took ages. I feel slightly bad, because the flyers we recently handed out said “Sunday” on them. But newcomers, full disclosure, there’s a reason we don’t have an update day listed on the site: it varies. Not much! I’ve had a pretty consistent Sunday-Monday happening for a long while now.
Oh, also for newcomers:
- The current story, “The Bookend of Unimaginable Power”, starts here.
- This is a followup to the first Morth story, “Shades of Black and White”, which starts here.
- I guess you could start from the beginning, but let it be known that for strip quality reasons, volume one of a hypothetical future EN book would start approximately here.
£10 for a book end?? Go to Ikea, £6.99, bargain.
That would involve having to physically enter an Ikea though. Nobody should face such a thing.
Ya know, I’m pretty sure most major stores has some kind of online interface now-a-days.
you will never find a more retched hive of scum and villainy.
My parents got lost in Ikea in Bletchley once. Dad said it reminded him of a zombie survival film. Makes me wonder what on earth happened to them in there.
Well, the staff do seem a bit vacant and unthinking sometimes…
Been once. Got delayed at the pinball table. Didn’t really get to see the rest.
Saw no staff the whole time. Didn’t even buy anything, because there wasn’t anyone at the checkout. I assumed they were snacking on my bro, who was at the kids area (we were young at the time, I was older and got to come with my parents).
He told me later he hid in a shoe the whole time, to avoid some “freaky kids”. Not just the staff?
Ikea? Forget that I can make a bookend with scrap wood, duck tape, and finger paint fir free. Probably be able to sell for £12 to some dunce.
Id rather go to Ikea thean Tesco and thier smeging self serving till’s.
Bloody things keep braking down.
Not to mention the need to assemble it yourself…
Top floor was the french cuisine restaurant.
Sure, East. It’s the best evil cursed bookend EVER
I would have started the “hypothetical future EN book” one arc earlier (including the frozen wasteland base one).
After all it introduces an important recurring character AND features an actual Exterminatus ;)
True, it’s a shame to cut the Elusive Camel’s intro. There are some good bits in that story, but there are also some terrible bits, and overall it doesn’t quite hold up. Morth is where we really hit our stride, we’d want to include that in our first book. Anything earlier would form a “Volume Zero”, released later.
Yea I’m with East, bookends are bloody expensive. Let alone a GOOD bookend…
I haven’t had any luck in finding good bookends in my neck of the woods due to them being already sold out.
Those damn kids are dragging dirt and mud all over my totally awesome and well detailed summoning circle. What jerks.
“That is the best sodding bookend I ever owned.”
No shit Sherlock. IT´S A FUCKING MAGIC ANCIENT ARTIFACT!
Of course it is a great bookend, all Magic ancient artifacts are great bookends.
Why of course, why else would you need a paperweight of unfathomable power? A regular paperweight just sits there, but a magical one can sit there and be used to kill infadels, if you could be arsed to pick up the papers after they fly away anyway.
Seriously, I’d buy bookends that looked as good as that! :)
This storyline should end with the possessed bookend battling the toaster.
I think the ‘bookend’ would win as it houses countless souls while the demon-toaster has just one.
Um, guys? Active summoning circle? Under your feet?
Not active yet. But it really is not a good idea to be within any part of the radius of one. Summoning Magic is literally pulling something from another dimension to the one it’s drawn to. The rift between dimensions it opens can’t be good for one’s health.
anyone else notice the obscene lack of security cameras… then again its so much effort.
First off, yeah, I am so sensing a trap. Always assme they found the tracking device. ALWAYS!!!
Secondly….NO WAY! Any future book planned will leave out the entire first 138 pages!?!?!? Some fo the best amterial is fro there! Blasphemies origin in in there! You can[t leave that out! It hilarious!
Hrm. Oh, well. So long as it stays online I guess I can go back and read it there. *sigh*
God damn it Eastwood I lost it when you was raging it was the best Damn Bookend you ever had, just hilarious : D
