East’s sexual success is like that ‘light through paper with slits in it’ experiment where the result is changed depending on whether it’s recorded or not, isn’t it?
Actually just cos I wanted him to look a little different and shy away from the traditional echinda look. In all honesty if I could he’d be a honey badger now.
Do you have any ideas how hard those are to pull off? Although, there was a comic/manga called needless where they changed the protagonist from a male into female with little trouble. It of course required that he infiltrate an all girls school, and then he never changed out of the uniform… then he was forced to remain disguised as a girl because he was wanted for murder, then he had to disguise himself as his sister to escape or for another costume change, and then the excuses made less logical sense as time went on, then later he/she was transported to a parallel dimension or “deamon” realm or timeline where she was always a girl…and everyone she had a hand in killing was still alive and well.
From what I can tell the main character spent more than 9/10s of the comic in drag or as a female. And of course, she still had the standard harem of women japanese comics are known for. Plus, for some one with supposedly no superpowers save the ability to remain disguised as a girl without being exposed and having genius level intelligence she still couldn’t find a pair of pants or figure out how to defeat the bad guys more than once?
Anyway the point of the rant is it gets annoying when the artist decide they want to abruptly change the status of the main character to it’s complete opposite, rather than insert a new character and switch off.
Honey badgers are related to crossdressing as well, just ask Ru Paul’s Glamazons. That’s probably what triggered the memory in the first place. It was unusual enough that limited exposure has long lasting memory triggers.
Eh? I don’t think Lothar’s personality would change much, aside from possibly being even angrier for a while. I also don’t think he’d change to female all of a sudden either. O_o
I, personally, thought the chaos portal in the underground secret base was going to mutate/alter/swap/something Lothar into something other than an Echidna, but I turned out to be wrong there.
I think it would be divisive though. There would be campaigns and text based picketing and protesting to “Bring back old Lothar!” and “Echidna! Not Badger!”, and there would be counter protests of “We Like New Lothar!” and “Who cares?! He’s still a puppy burning murderous mercenary monster!”.
And that’s how I came to understand why Lothar is still an echidna.
I figure until it’s revealed otherwise that the only reason Eastwood goes after the girls in his way because it actually worked extremely well with her.
Well, this is going to be a tough call, and so many questions. Who’ll kill Eastwood first, Nadia or Wildfire? Will Virus die at Nadia’s hands, or will he get laid again? Did they remember to feed Blasphemy before they left? I think the only thing I know for certain is there’ll be lots of wondrous violence before the end.
I’m personally amused at how Wildfire seems to go from trying to cash in on that time period she was with them, to massive amounts of regretting that decision, especially since she should have remembered what the gang’s like.
Remember that Wildfire is completely unable to recognize a daemon? Add to that Vitani’s further ability to confuse things. Vitani is also on the promiscuous side, and Wildfire has a first-name to live up to in this kind of situation…
Eastwood is probably just overcompensating because right now, Virus is technically getting more action than him, semi-non consensual sex with a spider demon not withstanding.
Λnd here I thought Wildfire’s reunion with the main cast would involve Eastwood, Virus, and Lothar wasting no time in pointing guns at her, with Rogue whistling or doing some other thing that said “damn, you pissed them off.”
Why would it be funny? Please tell me. I am interested in creating a really dark, tech noir, hard boiled, romantic comedy. Something along the lines of ‘I married an axe murderer,’ but with the rewatch-ability of something like ‘Tucker and Dale vs Evil.’ I’m also still working out how to pull off a “Wow” at the end and how to maintain interest. I’m afraid I don’t know if my comics move too slowly or too fast at the moment because nobody really seems interested in them, and I haven’t updated in five years, but I still think I can reach a crowning moment of awesome if I try hard enough.
I like anthro comics, but I don’t generally make them unless its for parody or fangasmic larking.
I like you. Probably because you’re furtive an direct at the same time.
Although I’m a bit wordy, I can honestly say I’m not asking you to explain the joke. I just want to understand why you would think it funny if ‘Wiggle Wiggle Red’ actually had a thing for ‘Shallow Hal.’
Also, as far as I know that’s still not out of the realm of possibility. Harry could be a masochist into as much spanking and bondage as the ever chosen. Personally, I wouldn’t put up with that since I’m an adult and I can think of much better games to play in the bedroom.
That aside, I am genuinely interested in your opinion. Plot wise its up for grabs as any decent writer could take the same concept and go in any direction they choose and not think in the same way as I do. I’m just asking that you take a moment to see me as an equal and forgive my ignorance.
That being said, to avoid confusion, why would mutual liking between Harry and an antagonistic woman be funny?
I don’t know, they have complete polar opposite personalities, could you imagine her asking someone on a date? That would be terrifying for the person she’s asking and hilarious for everyone observing

Is it just me or does Lothar look older and more adult-ish somehow?
He got a redesign at the start of the arc. I’m guessing to avoid legal trouble from Sega.
Actually just cos I wanted him to look a little different and shy away from the traditional echinda look. In all honesty if I could he’d be a honey badger now.
Had some recent Far Cry trauma? :P
Nah, honey badgers are just terrifying.
… It would fit pretty well. Lothar is pretty damn terrifying too. Especially if you damage his hat!
I’m surprised you haven’t used some kind of daemon realm/alternate universe insanity/alteration type thing to change Lothar’s design yet.

I thought it was to just fap to manga and ignore the story.
This is a world with mind and form bending demons, anything could be pulled off convincingly if enough trauma was put into it.
Honey badgers are related to crossdressing as well, just ask Ru Paul’s Glamazons. That’s probably what triggered the memory in the first place. It was unusual enough that limited exposure has long lasting memory triggers.

ah, I thought his brown parts was darker lately
Eastwood thinking fast … but his mouth is working even faster, unfortunately for him.
I love the expressions :) Great strip !
Frankly I am surprised no one made a jab that East’s only conquest is prolly called Rosie.
…If she didn’t reject him as well.
xD.
Eastwood wearing his black trenchcoat in the flashback is a nice continuity touch.
Just noticed that, yeah.
Well spotted :)
Are Eastwood and Rogue still under sedatives? Their eyeballs are missing…
I think they’re just rolling their eyes really hard.
Panel 4 seems to be the most accurate depiction of a typical date involving Eastwood I’ve ever seen. XD
And Eastwood seems to develop that claiming that ANY woman he’s had bad experiences with as a disgruntled ex into some sort of knee-jerk reaction. XD
Probably a lingering panic reaction to the spider daemon.
Considering the state* of the room in panel 5, seems Deket is capable of some mercy.
That or 4 and 5 are actually Rogue’s imagination and there was a relationship.
I figure until it’s revealed otherwise that the only reason Eastwood goes after the girls in his way because it actually worked extremely well with her.
I love the shift in art style and the expressions on their faces. It’s brilliant. This comic just gets better and better

Neither of those options:
Remember that Wildfire is completely unable to recognize a daemon? Add to that Vitani’s further ability to confuse things. Vitani is also on the promiscuous side, and Wildfire has a first-name to live up to in this kind of situation…
*starts selling mindbleach and tissues*
Because of this page I’m gonna have a huge-ass grin plastered on my face tomorrow
Also, their reaction to Wildfire is… decidedly less “terrified panic” than I was hoping for :/ oh well
Well, to them Wildfire is more “stupid bimbo who tends to bugger up assignments” and less “force for unstoppable collateral damage”.
Didn’t Schaefer have their furniture trashed and a dead girl thrown in their fridge because of their last escapade with her?
stop all the lies xp
you silly boy.

Well darn, hope the plot moves itself out of the gutter soon…
Whoops, comment I put on the last page, I meant to put on this page
As stated on the previous page, I would find it hilarious if the redhead has a thing for Virus, fat chance of that happening but it’d still be funny

Gahd, I mean Virus. Sh!7 Now I’m getting names and weird fetishes and fantasies all mixed up.
Awg! Now I’m going to be all creepy, freaky, and weird every time I show up here.
I don’t know, they have complete polar opposite personalities, could you imagine her asking someone on a date? That would be terrifying for the person she’s asking and hilarious for everyone observing
So Virus has gotten more action than Eastwood?
