Spider calling mammals insects.

Well, she does intend to eat them.
Well technically a spider is an arachnid, which I don’t think are technically insects…
No “technically” about it! Arachnids definitely aren’t insects. But they ARE both arthropods, if you want to group them together that way.

Also, he might be buying time or trying to lead her back to the remnants of the inhibitor.
But, yeah. Lothar’s taking the big brass balls approach to this problem.
Then again, the main cast DOES punch above their weight class. Somehow. There’s usually screaming and running involved when their plans work, so this is quite normal.
*Rereads the comic.* Oh, duh. They ARE buying time.
Huh. Lothar is obeying orders from Virus and Eastwood. That’s a shock!
Although in this case Lothar’s plan looks more like a “Fight THEN Flight” as opposed to “Fight OR Flight”. But yeah, still ballsy.
I’ve always been a fan of “fight AND flight.”
hey, the one thing we can say about the A team
when the going gets rough, they get oddly competent – a situation like this, thye may even seem like a real team ;)
And their leader doesn’t even have to order them to “act like people who know each other!”
From what we’ve seen, their plans usually involve:
Step 1) Shoot/explode/mouth off/insult whatever ancient/powerful entity they’re fighting.
Step 2) Have it fail to work.
Step 3) Start running until A: they come up with a new plan, or B: they find a new toy.
Step 4) Repeat until enemy is dead.
So this is basically steps 1 and 2, moving onto step 3.
Ah, the Ciaphas Cain method of surviving the next few seconds so that you can find a way to survive the next few seconds, over and over until you’re out of danger.
Oh, wait, my mistake. The EN crew’s version of that plan involves more swearing, and probably a bit more wisecracking too.
Also, I think the EN crew have “???” and “Profit!” as steps in there too.

For the rest of his life, the first thing anyone says upon meeting Virus will be “You’re that bloke what boinked a Daemon, yeah?”
Just goes to show, no matter how bloated with unholy power from a dimension where the laws of physics are at best suggestions your enemy is, a ball of plasma to the eyeball still hurts.
Calling it now:
The comic ends with either the incredibly awkward aftermath of a massive Daemon orgy involving the entire cast, or Vitani straight up killing everyone.
Or first the former, then the latter.
Nah, I think it’ll end on a joke about how there are probably going to be a bunch of spider daemon kids for them to fight later, or on them deciding to chill out after the mission.
They might have already filled up on their quota of awkward post sex scenes.
Wait, there’s a quota to that on EN!?
Hmm. Good point.
Now, I think the limit is “can they make another awkward post sex scene both funny and work in the storyline?”
I was expecting Loth to have some witty comment. Something like
“Hey bet your used to a shot in the face!”
That woulda been awesome.

Thus, we see the evolution of “Point sharp end at bad guy” unto “Discharge plasma round at bad guy/gal/Daemon.”
They be fucked, verily.
Rogue and Lothar acting as bait while the rest of the crew tries to find a way to kill said daemon princess. Yeah not much of a cunning plan.
Funnily enough, that seems to be their only plan most times.
Lothar and Rogue, resident live bait and distraction. Hire for only $5 an hour.
Rogue’s first speaking lines since January, ladies and gentlemen!
