#497 – Mercs With Mouths

C is for Cavalry. And chaos and collateral.
Have a dark and terrifying solstice, mewling children of Earth!
So this is a default behaviour of Google. Unbelievable. How is this useful to anyone? It’s basically going, “Oh, you you want black cats? Here are all cats. You’ll have to find the black ones yourself, I can’t be arsed”.
Well, I finally thought to Google the problem, and actually found a useful result on the first try! Usually takes me four or five rewordings of terms these days, what with all Google’s “helping”. This Chrome extension defaults searches to Google Verbatim. Which is their name for “please actually look for the thing I asked you to instead of spitting out some vague, barely related bullshit I have to rummage through for fifteen minutes”.
So that’s nice.
When I got back from my trip, I was pretty invigorated and enthusiastic to get to work on EN.
That didn’t last long.
Almost three weeks, really? Not sure where the time went. Okay, a bunch of it went into Kerbal Space Program, which really got its space-hooks in me after downloading the demo on a whim. I just loves me some rocketships. Been calculating delta-vees and retrograding me apoapsis all over the shop. I’d also previous to that picked up Surgeon Simulator 2013 in a Humble Bundle, so I actually went from brain surgery to rocket science in the space of a fortnight.
Just an update to show everybody the completed print, and to let you know there’ll be a new comic this coming weekend.
(The print did okay – I think half the trouble is all my prints are kinda dark, don’t catch eyes well. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth at Edmonton Expo.)
Holiday was great. Nice to visit and see everybody back “home”, but kind of gratifying to realise that I was thinking of Canada as my actual home to which I would return when the trip was over.
